Eurasian Tree SparrowEurasian Tree Sparrow has rufous crown and nape, black eye, black throat, and a black patch on each pure white cheek. Males and female look similar. They are more common and are often found in urban areas. The sparrow has bones in its tongue, which helps it harden to hold seeds. Sparrows are omnivores. It eats seeds, insects, berries, and scraps of food that people leave behind or throw away. Sparrows can fly from 38 km to 50 km h. They live in flocks, sing softly, and are friendly with people, but they are shy and fly away when people approach. Their life span ranges from 4 to 7 years.
